Description:The newly formed Geospatial Analysis and Learning Lab (GALL) in the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society and Built Environmental Decarbonization Lab (BEDA) in the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame jointly seeks a postdoctoral scholar for a position starting in Fall 2024, for one year position. This position will help shape the research and service portfolio of the GALL and BEDA. Current research projects include dashboarding of health and wellbeing data for the northern Indiana region, satellite imagery analysis of urban areas throughout the world, and environmental health risks and machine learning integration. This post-doctoral position is 100% operational, assisting the Head of the GALL and BEDA with project management, scoping, and project planning, including organization Environmental Change Initiative (ECI) sponsored working group

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a junior researcher with a Ph.D. in any relevant field who has a strong background in Geographical Information System, spatial statistics, and data management. Demonstrated knowledge of GIS and research experience in spatial studies are required, with a preferred background in research at the intersection of human health and environment.
