Job Description

The Facilities Manager will play a critical role in supporting the daily warehouse, inventory and inventory management required to support our installation efforts while creating a workspace that inspires and unleashes the potential of our co-owners. The Facilities Manager will lead a team consisting of Warehouse Associates and Leads, Facility Maintenance, and Branch Purchasing Associates to ensure the facility is meeting the needs of our Residential, Commercial, and Service divisions. Through these efforts, the Facilities Manager will help to create a workplace culture that is supportive, innovative, and fulfilling for the facilities team.

In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, which includes the daily tasks of opening/closing, job preparation, inventory, purchasing, shipping/receiving, office and parking needs, the Manager will be responsible to work closely with the Director of Facilities and implement strategies to optimize the use of our physical spaces.

This will include collaborating with other stakeholders and teams, such as Branch Fleet Coordinator, Branch Management Team, Procurement, IT, HR, and the Sustainability Coordinator to create a productive and effective facility serving our co-owner needs across the 3 business units. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The Facilities Manager will be directly responsible for leading a team which is responsible for the following areas with the overarching goal of increasing throughput across the organization:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Local inventory administration and management:

  • Determining and maintaining minimum and maximum stock quantities.
  • Creating and maintaining effective storage solutions.
  • Analyzing the installation schedule to ensure inventory needs meet daily, weekly and longer-term product demands across multiple technologies

Local Branch Purchasing:

  • Acquiring small and major components.
  • Entering data into inventory software and CRM.
  • Fulfilling last-minute requests for materials.
  • Conducting end-of-month inventory.
  • Acquiring and administering specialty tools and materials

Shipping, Receiving and Transfers:

  • Receiving and verifying materials.
  • Stocking received materials and notifying applicable parties of upcoming job-specific materials.
  • Recording stock via inventory software and CRM.
  • Following SOPs for the proper shipping, receiving, and tracking of RMA items for service department
  • Coordinating inter-shop transfers between ReVision Energy branches.

Job preparation and support:

  • Working with the Operations and Procurement team to ensure installations start with all necessary components and required support.
  • Ensuring materials are prepared and box trucks are loaded in the evening for morning departure.
  • Coordinating logistics for deliveries to job sites.

Facilities Management:

  • Overseeing the general building maintenance
  • Work directly with the Director of Facilities and other stakeholders to optimize office and warehouse space utilization
  • Maintaining grounds (e.g., snow plowing and shoveling, spreading ice melt, vehicle parking during storms and special events, lawn mowing, etc.)
  • Ensuring the office is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency programs and waste reduction strategies as developed by Company Sustainability Coordinator.
  • Support Director of Facilities in developing and managing budgets related to office operations and maintenance.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the office and facility to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating and maintaining effective and efficient storage solutions and warehouse processes.

Team Management

  • Ensuring training is completed for all new warehouse employees as well as any ongoing training requirements.
  • Conducting annual reviews of facility/warehouse employees.
  • Managing schedules of facility employees to ensure coverage from 6:30 AM-7 PM Monday – Friday.
  • Bachelors degree in related field desired.
  • 5 years of related experience, including team management, required.
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills.
  • Ability to work self-guided in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with Excel and other commonly used software, including internet and email.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and 100% solution oriented.
