Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our Asset Management team. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance, the Finance Analyst will assist with financial modeling, budget tracking, project management for grant and loan applications, ensuring loan compliance, and conducting due diligence on potential acquisitions. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to summarize and communicate detailed findings effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial models, including operational forecasts, internal annual budgets, and DCF models for potential acquisition and greenfield opportunities. Perform sensitivity analyses to assess returns.
- Lead the preparation of monthly operational and financial reports for management.
- Monitor monthly cash flows and prepare quarterly compliance reports for lenders.
- Conduct financial due diligence on potential acquisitions and prepare reports for management that summarize findings and identify key risks and opportunities.
- Assist with project management for grant and loan applications. This will consist of gathering, organizing, and preparing hundreds of documents for government agencies, engineers, lawyers, insurers, and other stakeholders. Lead team calls and proactively ensure timely completion and submission of documents.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience building financial forecasts and models
- Exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- Ability to analyze and summarize complex information into clear and effective PowerPoint presentations
- Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
- Proactive and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with external stakeholders, such as lawyers, lenders, and advisors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Knowledge of M&A processes, including due diligence and deal structures
- At least four (4) years of experience in a finance-related field, which could include investment or corporate banking, corporate finance, corporate development, M&A advisory, or related fields.
Location:
- This is an in-office role at our office in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
