SALARY – $100k-$140
REMOTE POSITION
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of multiple renewable energy projects through completion at any given time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordination with the utilities and townships, obtaining the required permits, budget management, resource management, incentive management, contractor negotiation, and construction management. The Project Manager interacts with clients throughout the entire project, from contract signature until transition to Operation and Maintenance of the system.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project budget.
- Prepare updated project budgets and report detailed analytics to explain variances against budget and schedule.
- Oversee and manage entire construction process to ensure project remains on budget, on schedule and reduce project turnover.
- Act as owners representative during physical construction and transition project to asset management phase at project completion including decision making responsibilities on day-to-day matters involving the project.
- Coordinate communication between all key stakeholders including customers, contractors, vendors, and engineers.
- Prepare and provide project status reports to key stakeholders on a scheduled basis.
- Oversee and maintain key contracts and ensure engineering and procurement schedules stay on schedule and on budget.
- Manage Project Coordinators to ensure proper project documentation, system updates and project coordination.
- Ensure all project turnover documentation is secured and filed in a timely and orderly manner.
- Facilitate hand-off from engineering and procurement phase to construction.
- Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Provide regular and predictable attendance considering any rights to leaves provided by law or company policy.
- Perform all essential job functions without posing a direct threat of harm to yourself or others.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- 3-5+ years of project management or construction experience (preferably in solar but not required)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast paced, and constantly evolving environment as well as extended hours, as required
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BOX, Procore and Smartsheet
