The Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation is recruiting a Graduate Medical Education Administrator to provide leadership to our department’s educational administrative team (four GME Program Managers and one GME Program Coordinator) overseeing our ACGME-accredited and non-accredited training programs as well as various other educational activities and initiatives within the department. The GME Administrator will work in direct partnership with the Vice Chair for Education, under the general direction of the Department Administrator and in consultation and collaboration with the department’s Program Directors/Associate Program Directors, UWH Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and UWH Director of Graduate Medical Education.
Jointly responsible with Program Directors for accreditation and compliance of all education programs and residents/fellows in their programs. Supervises education staff and works closely with Program Directors and other faculty. Overall duties include operational oversight and strategic implementation of programmatic priorities to ensure high quality Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs. Serves as subject matter experts in the field of GME, with oversight responsibility for recruitment, credentialing, curriculum, evaluation, accreditation, compliance, fiscal, and reporting processes. Works under general supervision of Department Administrator or designee.
