Title – RNG Project Manager
Salary – $150,000 – $180,000
Location – Remote USA
Overview
AD Energy is working closely with our established Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) development/operations company who focus on creating strong partnerships with biogas source owners in the landfill, agricultural waste and food waste sectors to harness the power of their feedstock or biogas in the global effort of decarbonization. Our clients business model is to provide turnkey decarbonization solutions from thorough source investigation through design, construction, and operations. The Project Manager position, reporting to the EVP of Project Execution, will support all aspects of the project and be focused on regulatory requirements, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handoff to Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordination with Development Team to ensure development concept deliverables have
- been completed and are sufficient for handover to Project Execution Team
- Participation in project scoping and CAPEX budgeting process
- Build and develop project teams capable of working multiple projects leveraging inhouse engineering and third-party support
- Determine project contracting strategy that meets corporate and funder/lender risk management objectives
- Develop and maintain a project risk register with specific mitigation plans established for priority risks
- Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities.
- Managing delivery of the project according to this plan including permitting, land acquisition, utility interconnects, and community outreach.
- Generate and maintain detailed project schedule and budget tracking and provide regular updates including earned value (i.e., cost and schedule performance) evaluation to project level steering committee
- Coordinate detailed project design from development concept through IFC drawing packages
- Coordinate and expedite major equipment procurement as required to maintain project target first gas date
- Identify, contract, and manage contractors for all site civil, mechanical, and electrical work
- Ensure full project compliance with all site-specific and corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Organization and oversight of facility Ready for Startup Review and commissioning
- Oversee preparation and delivery of hand-off documentation to Operations Team
- All other aspects of project execution necessary to deploy safe, reliable, RNG processing facilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing timely updates on project status and changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline preferred, (significant and
- relevant work experience considered)
- 5+ years’ experience in biogas or mid-stream processing
- 5+ years supervision or project management experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
- On call as required to meet project demands (nights, weekends and holidays)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in environmental sustainability industry such as biogas, renewable energy or waste treatment
- Experience with anaerobic digester installations for organic waste processing
- Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
- Proven success working with all levels of management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of construction contracting
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Proficiency utilizing MS Excel
