Director of Interconnection

We’ve been retained by a leading east-coast DG IPP looking for an interconnection director to spearhead the teams’ DER and transmission-level interconnection strategy for their portfolio of DG and Utility-Scale Solar + Storage projects. This person will play a key role, both as leading the interconnection team to get their DG / Utility-Scale projects through interconnection queues, and leading strategy efforts for future power markets entry.

Responsibilities

• Working with internal project development teams to analyze project viability and access
• Act as the interconnection SME within the firm
• Lead policy efforts related to grid modernization
• Develop and implement interconnection strategies
• Act as the liaison between utilities and consultancies

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in interconnection fields, including both DER and Transmission
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power System studies
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Experience working with power market studies/analysis (PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF)
