As the newest member of our team, you will provide advisory and independent engineering services for utility and commercial-scale energy projects. You have at least 5 years of energy modeling experience with a focus on solar and battery technologies and a deep understanding of modeling platforms and techniques, including PVsyst. You also have a foundation in design standards, considerations, and trade-offs. You have a talent for statistical analysis and articulating technical issues in understandable language – collaborating with various stakeholders to develop the best possible solution. Spend your days:
- Conducting energy yield assessments and battery storage modeling including statistical analysis and forecasting
- Contributing to PV and BESS project diligence, construction monitoring, commissioning, and performance test verification
- Working cross-functionally with developers, contractors, investors, lenders, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders
- Applying advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, PV/BESS requirements, layout optimization, and equipment procurement in support of the project
- Engineering solutions from a technical perspective while weighing business value

Bring with you:
- BS/MS in engineering or atmospheric science and 5+ years of solar resource and battery storage modeling experience – wind generation experience a plus!
- Proficient in using PVsyst and similar energy yield assessment programs and understanding of data collection techniques
- Experience conducting statistical analysis on solar and battery data, including forecasts and technology suitability evaluations
- Demonstrated experience in project development including design, resource and generation modeling, construction, and operations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to distill technical issues into understandable sound bites that aid clients in their business decisions. Your technical writing is top notch!
- Ability to think independently and collaborate with a team for the best possible solution
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride of ownership – you don’t need daily supervision
