As an Energy Procurement Manager, you will be instrumental in procuring electricity and natural gas supply offers and contracts for a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial and industrial clients. Your role will encompass energy analysis, product suggestions, execution, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and negotiate procurement contracts that satisfy client requirements and contractual commitments.
- Evaluate market intelligence, tariffs, and load data to guide pricing suggestions.
- Support renewable energy initiatives and perform market evaluations to uncover opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with a network of retail energy suppliers and consultants to enhance procurement operations.
- Assist the Director in executing strategic procurement projects and liaise with the Executive Leadership team.
- Develop and present written proposals for prioritized initiatives.
- Assess supply scopes and comprehensively understand customer needs.
- Manage the contracting process, ensuring successful execution of agreements with suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks and manage changes and claims throughout project execution.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while minimizing client risk exposure.
- Cultivate and share best practices, delivering training sessions as necessary.
- Forge strong relationships with functional leaders and operations personnel across diverse business units.
- Utilize market intelligence to advise on purchasing strategies and communicate market risks to clients.
- Assist with pricing responsibilities, maintain organized data, and support the dissemination of market intelligence.
- Contribute to proprietary software platform development and elevate team expertise.
