What your day will look like:

  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs through automation and process innovation.
  • Work closely with plant personnel, including Maintenance and Production teams, on problem-solving, cost reduction initiatives, and performance efficiency improvements.
  • Provide support to Maintenance and Production teams to meet daily production targets.
  • Collect and analyze production data using scientific and statistical methods to document and improve production processes.
  • Monitor and measure manufacturing processes to ensure they meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Support daily operations to meet business needs.
  • Support process automation strategy, configuration, and provide ongoing support, especially during migration projects.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline work, enhance operability and quality, and reduce costs.
  • Guide and train area personnel on process methodologies to assist in process control improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with unit technology teams to develop and implement long-range plans for process control improvements.
  • Support or lead process-related activities for capital and improvement projects.
  • Provide process checkout and start-up support for facilities to meet production schedules and business needs.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in manufacturing, particularly with automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Experience with software programs used in automation, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Industrial Robots, or other similar control and automation products.
  • A deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO quality procedures.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, a software application for computer-aided design and drafting.
  • Experience in a process-related role and battery manufacturing (preferred).
