Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a Field Services Engineer to test, maintain, and repair electrical systems in renewable energy, industrial, and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about electrical engineering and ready to travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites for inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems (480V to 765kV).
  • Perform testing on transformers, relays, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
  • Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and repair power control systems, circuit breakers, and generator systems.
  • Train apprentices and manage project files, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform hands-on execution of projects including start-up, commissioning, and testing.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, providing technical support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in switchgear testing and troubleshooting.
  • NETA or NICET certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical and photovoltaic (solar) systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMI programming, and diesel power generation controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 60-70% of the time.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred Experience:

  • OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid training (training provided if needed).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various environmental conditions.
