Role Description

We are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in Data Optimization to join the NPI Operations team here at Form Energy. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the initial operations production environment in all cell/battery assembly processes by providing data analytics tools to optimize line performance. You will use your strong background in data and process engineering within an industrial environment to integrate, share, and deepen process data systems for our first of a kind manufacturing facility. This role will be located at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, which is just a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation assistance is available.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of process data to identify patterns, correlations, and trends that impact production line performance.
• Use statistical methods to provide insights that drive improvements in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as output, yield, and quality.
• Design and build customized data analytics tools that enable process and equipment engineers to better understand and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously refine and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to recommend process changes, equipment upgrades, or operational adjustments that enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall production outcomes.
• Work to improve the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of process data by developing automated systems for real-time data collection and reporting to ensure that relevant stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions quickly.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders at all levels.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
• Ability to define data architecture in cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, and process optimization.
• Hands-on experience with production line data collection and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
