Description JOB SUMMARY: The Community Solar Specialist is responsible for managing Standard Solar Inc’s (SSI) portfolio of Community Solar projects and agreements. The position is located within SSI’s Asset Management group and will work closely with the Director of Asset Management, Chief Operations Officer and 3rd party community solar service providers. Additionally, the Community Solar Specialist will be asked on occasion to support special projects related to research and development, data entry and analysis, updating policies and procedures, and general training and team development needs within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enroll community solar projects in utility billing systems and allocation portals.

Submit community solar allocation documents to the utility and mediate any discrepancies with the relevant acquisition arm.

Report collection percentages for community solar projects on a subscriber level.

Manage all CS Aggregators to ensure they are on schedule and budget with respect to acquisition, management and churn for all projects. Track subscription, allocation, and collection data for all projects across multiple aggregator platforms

Develop and maintain a community solar database system (Salesforce or other) for tracking subscription level data. Develop strategic plan for bringing the remaining CS partners into this database

Establish and maintain relationships with multiple utility CS POCs to ensure compliance in multiple CS programs

Negotiate and administer all contracts with 3rd party CS aggregators and subscribers

Coordinate with Accounting on monthly collection levels and assist AR/AP with any questions concerning CS revenue on an ongoing basis

Provide regular feedback to SSI pricing/valuations team regarding market pricing and other critical assumptions regarding subscriber types, applicable discounts, churn, etc.

Assist the Director of Asset Management in any tasks that pertain to community solar or any other general VEM tasks having knowledge on.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Community Solar Specialist reports directly to the Director of Asset Management.

BS/MS with knowledge and interest in the renewable power industry.

Prior Experience with managing community solar agreements and/or commodities trading.

Must possess current valid drivers license or otherwise provide own transportation.

Must successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

POSITION ROUTINELY INTERFACES WITH:

Accounting, Finance, Business Development, and Transaction/Diligence departments

All employees, including Senior and Executive Management

Third party community solar partners and organizations

Community solar project subscribers and offtakers, including residential subscribers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Conducts in a professional office setting.

Physical working conditions may involve the following:

Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, reaching, and/or bending.

Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format.

NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Routine aspects of this position may require the following non-physical demands:

Analytical and logical reasoning.

Problem solving and researching skills.

Time management and organizational skills.

POTENTIAL HAZARDS:

Routine aspects of this position may place the incumbent in situations where they may be susceptible to potential hazards from the following:

Trips, slips and/or falls while on customer property.

Chemical abrasives used in office and kitchen cleaning.

Lifting items up to 50 pounds in weight.

Other hazardous conditions on customer premises, not otherwise defined here.
