ROLE/JOB SUMMARY:

  • Manage product life cycle
  • Gather information for new product requirements from the market, subsidiaries and customers
  • Own and update Product Roadmap, keeping the required departments informed of new product introduction, ramp up, phase out and end of life.
  • Give support to sales and customers, focusing on new products and functionality
  • Maintain product documentation & presentations

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire EVCS product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Requirement Definition: Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRD) for both hardware and embedded software.
  • Business and Technical Acumen: Create and maintain RPI/RFP/RFQ documents based on customer requirements and market needs for the Engineering team to design and develop the product.
  • Collaboration with Remote Teams: Convert product requirements documents to engineering specification for remote design and development teams in Asia and manage the entire product development schedule.
  • Competitive Analysis: Acquire hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain a technical analysis of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Support Functions: Assist marketing, sales, engineering, and service teams with various pre- and post-sales activities, including creating datasheets, installation manuals, O&M manuals, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content, and demos.
  • Product Demonstrations: Perform product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.
  • Cost Management: Keep transfer cost files updated for Delta and third-party suppliers’ products.
  • Pricing: Publish annual customer price files for standard products to the sales team.

Requirement:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management of hardware products in industries such as electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging, solar, battery storage, or similar power-related industries.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with sales, marketing, engineering, industrial design, user experience, operations, and service teams to refine product requirements.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively within a small, dynamic product management team.
  • Industry Passion: Passionate about the EV and renewable energy industries.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative: Strong self-starting initiative with a sense of urgency.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for Electrical Engineering (EE).
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with OCPP and ISO15118 is preferred.

This position requires long periods of sitting behind a desk, telephone work and performing tasks on a computer. Additional physical requirements may include light lifting of up to 30 lbs.

MOBILITY (some or extensive business travel, preparedness to relocate, etc.), if appl.:

· Ability to travel to customer locations within the United States as well as Delta offices in Taiwan and China
