About the role

The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining the building and site, utility infrastructure, and Facilities systems and equipment. This role also involves overseeing building and facilities system upgrades, improvements and expansions. The Facilities Engineer will work closely with other engineers and contractors to ensure that the facility meets all regulatory and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with operating, maintaining, and improving building and facilities systems, and project management. The position is based in the greater Atlanta area, in Cedartown, Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of Facilities and utility systems, including related equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and safety, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage Facilities budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Manage utility supply to the factory, including interface with utility providers
  • Manage outsourced services for security, janitorial, landscaping, pest control, Fire alarm and sprinkler system, etc
  • Oversee facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • This position may require occasional travel to our Odessa, TX facility

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing manufacturing facilities, with a strong understanding of maintenance and operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using facility management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in rapid communications using a mobile device and laptop. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
