Position Purpose:

In this Solutions Engineer role, you will require a high level of technical expertise to achieve desired business outcomes. You will work directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission, and qualify control systems & software programs.

Job Objectives (How and When)

A. Solutions/Project Engineering

  1. Expertise in Delta provided solutions and project engineering
  2. Systems design: I/O List, panel design, system drawings
  3. System configuration/programming: Controller, interface, data collection, reporting, trending, alarming, historian
  4. Testing/commissioning: Software, hardware, FAT, SAT

B. Delta Site Solutions

  1. Manage Delta site solution projects: Various locations
  2. Continued improvements to site solutions: EV, Access, Elevator, Warehouse, PV, Data Center, Fish pond, irrigation
  3. Integration of Delta and 3rd party products

C. Solution Libraries

  1. Control module libraries: General/product, EV, EMS, ESS, PV, Data Center, Micro Grid
  2. User interface options for base systems :Dashboards, Configuration, Access levels
  3. Documentation: User guides/operator manuals

Support

  1. Activities towards improving working efficiency for solutions projects
  2. Promotion material for sales
  3. Employee access for demos
  4. Trade shows

Job qualifications include:

  • B.S.E. (EE or related) & 0-3 years experience
  • Entry level understanding of automation products (AC Drives, Servo Systems, PLCs, HMIs, Switches, Fieldbus, Process Controllers, Sensors, power supplies, robots, software/programming) through education and experience
  • Communication skills to resolve routine automation product technical support issues within company policies/procedures
  • Technical ability to solve product related problems with detailed instructions
