Job Description
Wood is currently recruiting for a Director of Project Development and Engineering in Austin, TX, to direct, administer, and control the day-to-day operations and activities of the USA Project Development and Engineering (PD&E) team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify priorities, objectives and areas of growth required from a resourcing, personnel, and business development perspective.
- Manage resourcing and program projects.
- Support and guide project managers to ensure projects are being delivered safely, on-time, to budget, and to the required standard.
- Lead business development, as well as strategies, project controls, and project management methodology.
- Reports on CRM pipeline and works with senior directors to implement BD strategies and growth areas for the PD&E team.
- Responsible for review of all proposals and deliverables from the PD&E team to ensure quality and consistency across all PD&E delivered work.
- Work with senior management on the development and implementation of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week.
Multiple positions available.
Employing entity: Wood Group USA, Inc.
Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
Position requires 10% travel (domestic and international).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field, and 10 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have at least 8 years of experience in each of the following:
- Renewable energy design, engineering and development experience across multiple technologies and regions;
- Performing contract management, including managing contractors, controlling site, and leading progress and contractor meetings; and
- Managing high value contracts.
Of the required experience, must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- Managing a team of engineers and account managers within the clean energy market including: renewables, green h2 and power-to-x sectors;
- Developing and implementing strategy for growth and penetration in the evolving clean energy value chain and related industries;
- Developing and providing direction and leadership for project development and engineering team on capability development priorities, account management and business processes and systems;
- Leading the establishing of relationships with customers, partners, supply chain, and stakeholders to ensure strategy delivery and position for future opportunities; and
- Creating strategy to secure clean energy contracts in the green hydrogen market.
