The Opportunity:

Leads our operations successfully in the key areas of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Process Improvement.

Plans, directs, and coordinates all aspects of production to achieve company goals and objectives. Interprets company standards, establishes, and maintains policy and practice to meet company operational needs. Manages all production staffing, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management. Enforces and adheres to all company policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains control over budget, material consumption, costs, safety program, and facility wide needs.

To help maintain and grow this standard, we’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to assist in overseeing the operations of both brands; Sunesta and Gutter Helmet. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in overseeing a manufacturing facility. This person has a positive outlook and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a dynamic Operations leader that’s driven to lead our business in safety, quality, efficiency, and process improvement.


What you’ll do:

Leadership

  • Leads, supports, and motivates a large team in a time-sensitive and demanding environment to foster a positive and collaborative work environment through servant leadership principles.
  • Provides daily hands-on leadership by communicating daily goals and productivity performance requirements.
  • Maintain constant communication with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure proper operations of the company.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to enforce all company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Manages Production staff (FTE & Temporary Workers) in areas such as interviewing, hiring, performance management, training, and development, and maintaining proper staffing levels.
  • Leads the team with Process Improvement when and where needed; whether large or small.

Operations

  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within budget by optimizing efficiency and monitoring costs.
  • Lead the team to achieve a mission of producing every product on time, the right way, the first time.
  • Manage Production metrics to achieve desired targets, reduce costs, and eliminate errors.
  • Works closely with Supply Chain to perform analysis of inventory and ensure inventory is being used effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems, complete projects, and identify and address areas of opportunity.
  • Manage the department budget including cost control measure and resource allocation to achieve financial targets by working closely with management.
  • Proactively anticipate and identify potential issues, constraints, and opportunities and propose mitigating actions.
  • Stays informed with industry trends and best practices to continually improve operations within the organization.
  • Monitor and review daily upkeep and downtime prevention of facility tools and equipment.
  • Ensure that all machines and technical equipment in the plant are properly maintained.
  • Ensure that working areas are prepared and equipment is set up for start of production.
  • Ensures that all work order instructions and SOPs are updated and followed effectively and efficiently.

Safety

  • Evaluate potential risks, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and provide recommendations.
  • Address all safety concerns and potential hazards and implement proper corrections.
  • Works closely with management and Safety Director to maintain an injury-free culture.

Secondary Accountabilities: In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


What We need:

Education/experience:

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of Operations/Production Management or Related
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Operations or Related
