Overview:
Communities Power is seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Sales Instructor to join our Workforce Development Program on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time. As a Solar Sales Instructor, you will train and mentor participants, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in solar sales within low-income communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Training:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive training sessions on solar sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.
- Provide practical, hands-on training to ensure participants understand how to effectively sell solar products and services.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources to meet program objectives and industry standards.
- Mentorship and Support:
- Mentor and support program participants, fostering their professional development and confidence in solar sales.
- Offer guidance on overcoming sales challenges, handling customer objections, and closing deals.
- Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to address individual learning needs and goals.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess participants’ progress through tests, quizzes, and performance evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help participants improve their sales skills and knowledge.
- Track and report on participant outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the solar industry, particularly in sales.
- Share industry insights and knowledge with participants to ensure they are well-prepared for real-world sales scenarios.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Workforce Development Program team to align training objectives with overall program goals.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to provide a holistic learning experience for participants.
- Participate in program meetings, events, and activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in solar sales, with a strong track record of success in the industry.
- Previous experience as an instructor, trainer, or mentor is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong sales acumen, with the ability to teach effective sales strategies and techniques.
- Ability to connect with and motivate individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for training purposes.
- Education:
- A background in renewable energy, sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or training in solar energy or sales are a plus.
