Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of this role is to assist the sales staff with bid reviews, submittal preparation, quality management system maintenance (Quadrel), front line system maintenance (Command), mix design development, and Ready Mix Laboratory operations. This would be approximately a
75% office and 25% laboratory role.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). (hourly plant positions only)
  • Specification Review
  • Apply ACI code to mix design selections
  • Demonstrate the ability to proportion and run ready mix designs in the laboratory
  • Capable of communicating technical concepts in writing
  • Maintaining materials costs in Quality Management System (Quadrel) and Front Line Management System (Command)
  • Prepare submittal documents for city, state, and commercial projects
  • Work with all sales representatives to promote new products (VAP, Ecopact, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
  • Quality Control Supervisor (help with new mixes and coordinate laboratory help)
  • Sales Manager (work with to manage material costs)
  • Sales Reps (work with to pick economical mixes for bid and current jobs)
  • Plant Managers (update mixes and make aware of special mix requirements)
  • Operation Managers (make aware of new products)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of equivalent experience.
