What You Can Expect

As the Enterprise Security Operations Advisor, based in Houston, TX, you will be a leader within the corporate security team, tasked with implementing and directing a comprehensive enterprise security risk management program for Engie North America and its affiliates. You will manage the security function and communicate with Global Business Units, which will look to you for direction and expertise. Your role will involve identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes and infrastructure across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, limit exposure to liability, and minimize financial loss to the organization. You will also drive investigations into criminal financial loss, crimes against persons, sabotage, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property or environmental crimes.

The Enterprise Security Operations Advisor is responsible for defining, establishing, and modernizing a robust security system to ensure the security of all corporate and operational personnel, assets, and critical systems at ENGIE. Drive continuous improvement of Engies security posture to ensure the security of people, assets, and critical systems, while providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in security architecture, policies, and procedures as they pertain to security systems across multiple platforms and technologies.

Reporting to the Head of Security ENGIE North America, your primary duties encompass:

  • Administers the security functions of the corporate team by directing team members and personally taking part in criminal and administrative investigations, security surveys of facilities and the design of new security systems.
  • Plans and develops training programs and manages the delivery of training sessions for employees of the company.
  • Provides security and criminal related advice to supervisors/managers, directors, attorneys, and officers of the company involving situations related to criminal and administrative matters.
  • Attends planning/staff meetings with various teams and staff members to ensure security issues are proactively addressed.
  • Liaisons with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Manages, coordinates, and in some cases investigates helpline complaints assigned to the Corporate Security team.
  • Lead the direction of physical security systems through the development of a physical security strategy that addresses the threats to Engies operating environment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security systems policies to ensure operational effectiveness of enterprise physical security systems.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with security systems integrators.
  • Oversee security architects and project managers of 3rd party vendors to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with established baseline requirements, deadlines and within budget.
  • Develop reference security architectures across applications, infrastructure, network, cloud, IoT, on-prem, mobile and physical environments.
  • Own and guide implementation of physical security systems architecture strategy and technology roadmap to ensure the best balance of security, efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability while protecting against internal/external threats.
  • Identify new trends in systems security and data protection, and support business cases for investment in advancing security capabilities to improve Engies security posture.
  • Attend and participate in technical engagements with audit, regulators, clients, and third parties, when required
  • Determine staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, training, development, and retention of highly qualified team members
  • Carries out other duties as assigned

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Security, or similar degree fields required
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in security management
  • Working knowledge of access control systems, including integration into an enterprise level management system.
  • Working knowledge of large scale industrial construction projects complexity
  • Working knowledge of travel security risk management systems
  • Understands state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard enterprise-wide assets
  • Knowledge and experience in RFP/RFI process, including new vendor onboarding
  • Foundational understanding of collection and analysis of security metrics to inform decisions, including conducting risk and vulnerability assessments and operational security design/planning

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically / internationally up to 50% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license/clean driving record;
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 $147,660 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
