Junior Application Specialist

Position Type: Part-time, Hourly
Reports to: IT Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Location: Jacksonville, FL

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with the IT department and Continuous Improvement to identify and document applications used within the company.
  • Support software application evaluations, identify possible overlapping features, and evaluate the necessary hardware/infrastructure/services necessary to deploy solutions.
  • Support configuration of off-the-shelf applications and tailor them to meet departmental requirements.
  • Work with other team members and third-party providers to install and troubleshoot applications.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive matrix of application findings, including their uses and overlaps.
  • Attend software application meetings in an advisory role.

Work Environment
This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at manufacturing facilities and job sites. Job safety iso always considered the top priority.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, occasionally break/fix activities may be required. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. The first shift days and minimum hours of work are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience
  • A minimum of an Associate of Science in Computer Technology or related discipline,
  • 3 years job experience in an IT related field

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology
  • Experience in Software Application Administration
  • Proficient in leading project implementation

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
