Job Description

The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can download both market data in bulk form or in customized reports. We have 4k+ external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.
You will be joining our Enterprise Data Solutions as a Technical Lead: serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and news, reference and legal entity data!
You will coordinate with senior business leaders on application requirements, incorporating desired functionalities into application development plans, and supervising application development stages. We have expertise in application architecture and leadership translates into optimized business operations!
Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Resolving project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
  • Provides technical leadership to serve as point of escalation, review, and approval for key issues, significant projects, and decisions.
  • Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.
  • Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
  • Contribute to the writing of documentation and release notes in conformance with company standards.
Required Skills:
  • Experience of migrating legacy on-premises application to AWS, Azure or similar cloud environments.
  • Modern development practices scrum, CI/CD, BDD, automation, Infrastructure as Code.
  • Previous experience of LSEGs DataScope suite of applications highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in a Product Engineering capacity
  • 8+ years of experience with various technologies: Significant Experience with Microsoft development using Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and C#; and Significant Experience with Linux development using C++, Python, Perl, Protobuf and shell scripting.
  • Real time application/low latency applications with very high data volumes
  • Cyber security tool suite and great awareness of potential security issues and vulnerabilities.
