Position Summary:

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Global Business Development team. This analyst will report to the VP of Global Revenue Operations, based in Chandler, Arizona.

The role will focus on supporting our business development team via cost modeling, pipeline management, supporting proposal developments, supporting RFPs, and will own various periodic reports and analyses. This includes developing detailed O&M cost assumptions, owning project level cost modeling, and supporting sales analytics. The Sr. Analyst must be capable of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with subject matter experts, developing detailed O&M cost justifications, tracking and reporting on KPIs and partnering with finance on sales forecasting. We are seeking a self-starter that also has an inquisitive mind, an analyst that will see patterns emerging from our data and have the initiative to develop conclusions without being directed to do so.

Responsibilities:

• Own all aspects of the cost modeling process for NovaSource, including understanding the functionality of the model, how inputs will impact outcomes and how to clearly convey this information to members of the business development team.
• Communicate changes/modifications needed in our standard cost model to the Performance Optimization team.
• Manage our global sales pipeline in Salesforce, including governance of our sales opportunities and advising leadership on risk adjustment matters.
• Manage many of our standardized BD templates, most notably our standard proposal form.
• Own all BD related dashboards, currently deployed in Power BI.
• Support the Sales Compensation process.
• Support our RFP and bid processes from an analytical standpoint, when support beyond typical cost modeling activities is needed.
• Support BD related analyses (Market & competitor analyses, win/loss reporting, pipeline throughput, lead to win conversion rates, etc.).
• Support other BD related activities (Lead generation, sales conference research, post conference reporting, produce ad hoc content for a sales presentation, etc.).

The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:

• Renewables experience in a BD support role is preferred, but not required
• Superior analytical skills and a creative problem solver
• Robust quantitative and financial modeling experience
• Technical writing capabilities with a focus on delivering the desired message in a concise manner
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate with senior management in a clear and logical manner
• Track record in driving various business initiatives to successful conclusion
• Completing projects independently with minimal guidance
• Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple projects and tasks concurrently
• Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
• Taking direction, identifying problems, developing solutions, conducting analysis independently and in collaboration with others
• Ability to develop strong cross functional working relationships with internal and external resources
• Experience working within a multi-national organization, including direct support of international emerging markets
• Superior skills in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI experience would be a plus

Minimum required qualifications:

• Available to work on-site in our Chandler, AZ or Houston, TX offices.
• 2-3 years of experience in a BD support role.
• High proficiency and organized in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Minimum bachelors degree in related field preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
