Position is for a full-time Portfolio Sustainability Analyst to work at EAH Corporate in San Rafael, CA. This is a hybrid remote position. Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Technology or related field, or combination of education and experience. 1+ year with subsidized funding programs such as LIWP, MFES, LIFT, CAMR, SOMAH, TECH, etc. Construction or facilities experience, preferably in affordable housing. Knowledge of property management, real estate, accounting, finance, and/or general administration. Familiarity with software such as Yardi, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, Yardi Pulse or WegoWise preferred. Salary range: $66,560 – $91,560 per year; hiring range for new employees is generally $66,560 – 74,350 per year, DOE. Please note an offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate and the current salary level of individuals working at EAH in a similar role.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under general supervision, facilitates maximum utilization of new information technology by identifying and responding to opportunities for improved energy and water efficiency to meet EAHs utility consumption reduction goals and our solar installations. Identifies and responds to financing opportunities that support our portfolio stewardship objectives. This role serves as the central point of contact about sustainability for EAH.
Understands and supports the mission and core values of EAH Housing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides day-to-day organization and technical assistance for sustainability projects and programs.
  • Collects, analyzes, interprets, and reports data on key sustainability indicators including water, energy, fuel,
    greenhouse gas emissions, and renewable energy generation.
  • Analyzes benchmarks, analytics and initiatives specific to utility consumption and cost to support continued
    reduction in consumption of energy/water/gas. Proposes reduction programs, policies and procedures.
  • Partners with Business Systems and Facilities, utilizes industry and network knowledge, and determines
    different funding programs to support company-wide sustainability initiatives.
  • Working with Director, Asset Management Construction and Sustainability, supports funding goals and
    initiatives for sustainability projects by identifying and pursuing incentive funding.
  • Manages regular reporting on energy and greening initiatives for senior leadership. Ensures timely
    distribution of reports to Asset Managers and stakeholders.
  • Manages applications for local, state and federal project specific funding programs related to EAHs
    sustainability projects.
  • At the direction of Director, Asset Management Construction and Sustainability, designs, implements,
    monitors, and evaluates clean energy, electrification, decarbonization, adaptation, and resiliency projects
    across the EAH portfolio.
  • Recommends strategies, programs, and technologies to comply with existing and new regulations.
  • Oversees third-party development of education, outreach, and engagement programs on sustainable
    practices for property staff.
  • Collaborates with key internal teams such as Real Estate Management, Real Estate Development,
    Compliance, and IT to drive sustainability initiatives.
  • Evaluates, recommends strategy and leads implementation for electric vehicle infrastructure across the
    portfolio.
  • Coordinates solar implementation for the entire portfolio including investor approvals and negotiating PPAs
    and SSAs.
  • Actively participates in EAHs Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, or Technology or related field, or comparable combination of education and experience. At least 1 year with subsidized sustainability funding programs such as LIWP, MFES, LIFT, CAMR, SOMAH, TECH, etc.

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of property management, real estate, accounting, finance, and/or general administration.
  • Construction or facilities experience, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Familiarity with software such as Yardi, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, Yardi Pulse, or WegoWise.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS
EAH Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Once you have received such an offer, you will be required to submit and pass our criminal background requirements. EAH also verifies education and employment history. DRUG TESTING
EAH Housing requires all candidates who have received a conditional job offer to submit to drug testing within 72 hours from acceptance of our job offer. EAH Housing does not test for marijuana/cannabis. Satisfactory completion of drug testing is a requirement of employment with EAH.
