The Director, Sales is a key member of the Chandler Engineering leadership team and is responsible for managing the Sales organization across the domestic and international commercial market, including direct sales via Regional Sales Managers, and indirect sales via representatives and distributors. This position could be based at either our Broken Arrow, OK or Houston, TX location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the global sales team, fostering collaboration and achieving company goals for AMETEK Chandler Engineering.
  • Establish and analyze sales performance goals and metrics, generate reports, and identify trends for strategic decision-making to positively impact AMETEK Chandler Engineering’s Net Promoter Score.
  • Drive a continuous improvement process for individual and collective performance through regular reviews and open communication with the sales team and channel partners.
  • Spearhead the definition and quantification of new markets, applications, and competitive threats for product management, detailing new product requirements and specifications.
  • Cultivate and expand existing relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term growth and success.
  • Proactively engage at industry trade shows and customer events by networking, forging partnerships, identifying emerging trends that drive business growth, and uncovering early signs of industry disruption.
  • Develop and deliver clear and targeted sales presentations to key customers (internal and external), utilizing effective communication strategies to maximize impact.
  • Provide a concise weekly update summarizing revenue forecasts, strategic initiatives, and key customer interactions impacting the business for distribution to the AMETEK Chandler Engineering Staff and appropriate stakeholders (e.g. Sales personnel, Regional Sales Managers, etc.)
  • Promote a customer-centric culture that goes above and beyond customer expectations.
  • Proactively inform leadership of critical customer feedback, emerging market trends, and economic developments impacting the business.
  • Work alongside business leaders to identify and prioritize key business improvement initiatives.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive performance improvement framework, including processes, systems, and tools, to continuously optimize sales team effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time – Domestic and International.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years successful sales management experience in a process-manufacturing role or serving oil & gas, petrochemicals or chemicals industries.
  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or another related technical degree.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of leading and managing experience highly preferred.
  • Experience building, mentoring, and leading highly effective teams across multiple locations.
  • Expertise with CRM systems is required. Salesforce CRM experience is highly preferred.
  • MBA is desirable.
