Job Description

ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Renewables Right of Way Agent to work on projects in Northeast Oregon. The selected candidate must reside in Oregon for the duration of the project and will have the flexibility to work remotely from their home office. Agent should expect to hit the road daily traveling about 50% of the time locally and/or throughout the state of Oregon.

This will be a project specific assignment which is expected to last 6+ months.

What you will be doing:

As a Right of Way Agent, you will provide land acquisition services, per project guidelines and regulations throughout the right-of-way project lifecycle in support of the Project Manager (PM), or members of the project team. This includes preparing complex real estate documents, performing basic property research for ownership and boundary information, and communicating with property owners and their representatives for the acquisition of right of way. You will be responsible for performing general administrative work including but not limited to preparing legal documents, reports and correspondence, attending meetings, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents for file management, verbal and written communications with customers, customer service and related functions.

Here are the minimum requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Right of Way acquisition experience
    • Must include wind acquisition experience
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Dropbox
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC’s systems
  • Valid Drivers License

Physical Requirements: English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
