HR Generalist (On-Site, Novi MI)

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in human resources and a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices. This role will be responsible for assisting with various HR functions, including recruiting, immigration, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and HR systems management. Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and Greenhouse recruiting software is a major plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize various recruiting sources and tools to attract qualified candidates.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications as needed.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to management.
  • Manage immigration processes for international employees, including work permits and visas.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and databases.
  • Policy development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to improve processes and policies.
  • Stay up to date with HR trends and legal requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and compliance.
  • Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and Greenhouse recruiting software preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
