Buyer Health & Supplements
Shop LC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Buyer for Health & Supplements to join our merchandising team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing a diverse range of health and supplement products that align with Shop LCs quality standards and customer preferences. This role requires a deep understanding of the health and wellness industry, strong supplier relationships, and a keen eye for trends that drive consumer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Sourcing & Development: Identify and source high-quality health and supplement products, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to develop exclusive products for Shop LC.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to maximize value for the company while maintaining product quality.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings. Use insights to make informed buying decisions and develop the product assortment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Work closely with the inventory team to forecast demand and plan reorders.
- Sales & Profitability: Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the success of product lines. Make recommendations for product promotions, markdowns, and discontinuations to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams to develop effective product presentations and promotions that drive customer engagement and sales.
- Compliance: Ensure all products meet health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines. Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and ensure timely implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in buying or product management, preferably in the health and wellness or supplements category.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the health and supplements industry, including current trends and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software to make informed buying decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce or home shopping retail environments.
- Familiarity with global sourcing and supply chain management.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and in front of a monitor/ computer screen.
