Salary Range: $ 88,400 – $ 140,000

Incentive: PIP 10%

Job Summary

This is a PSE&G position and as such may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and work schedule during storm/outage restorations efforts. Reporting to an alternate work location may also be required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Transportation Supervisor position with primary responsibilities at Fleet Maintenance Center (FMC) in Edison to include supervising the maintenance and repair of automotive and construction equipment.
  • Prepare and analyze reports, diagnose operating problems, and plan employee work assignments.
  • Coordinate the ordering of material, parts, tools, and shop equipment.
  • Maintain contact with internal customers on automotive problems.
  • Perform other supervisory duties as assigned.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Fleet Maintenance; or a Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience in Fleet Maintenance
  • Extensive experience in the repair/maintenance of automotive and construction equipment.
  • Extensive experience in transportation administrative procedures.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have obtained an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisors test within the last two years or must obtain an acceptable score on the First Line Supervisors test.
  • Must possess and maintain a U.S. valid drivers license and safe driving record.
  • Computer knowledge of the SAP Work Management system
  • This is a safety sensitive position, D.O.T. testing is required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading bargaining unit associates in the automotive repair and maintenance area.
