Job Description

Trailhead Recruiting is partnering with a fast-growing community and commercial solar development company making a huge impact in the renewables industry. Their world-class team has experience developing, owning, and operating all types of solar project sites from carports to ground mount sites.

Currently, our client is scaling their Solar Sales Team and they are seeking an experienced and driven Solar Sales Manager to help expand their client base in commercial solar projects across the US. They are looking for someone with strong business acumen and a proven track record in a solar sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales strategy for commercial solar projects, targeting commercial and industrial clients.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and engage potential customers, building strong relationships with decision-makers.
  • Present and pitch customized solar solutions to commercial and industrial companies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, finance) to deliver successful projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. (MBA is a plus)
  • Strong sales experience in a commercial & industrial (C&I) segment for Solar
  • Strong understanding of the solar industry, including technology, financing, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience selling to larger enterprise organizations (think Inc. 5000 companies) and have some preexisting relationships with these types of businesses.
