Job Description

WTG Installation Project Manager required for a Major Offshore Windfarm Developer in the Northeast.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for WTG installation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors involved in the installation process.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Ensure all installation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks during offshore operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Oversee the quality assurance processes to ensure all installations meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Address any technical issues or deviations promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial plans.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience offshore.
  • Previous experience on an offshore windfarm.
  • Previous experience with WTG Installation.
  • Experience with jack-up vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore wind industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
