Work Mode: Remote

Location: Remote, Kalamazoo, MI.

Opportunity

Support and assist with field service operations as required including installation and maintenance of INNIO gas engines, TPI RNG Solutions, and MAN gas engines, and related plant equipment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Progress in achieving OEM certification status through E-trainings, classroom trainings, and practical hands-on field tasks alongside senior Field Service Technicians.
  • Taking the initiative to progress through the Clarke Energy Technician Tier system by increasing capabilities as you advance yourself and your opportunities within the business.
  • Undertake engine breakdowns and servicing, taking responsibility for the full operation from start to finish in accordance with set procedures and safety policies.
  • Carry out engine oil sampling and changes as necessary.
  • Receive deliveries of parts and oil at customer locations, following agreed processes.
  • Compile electronic service reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
  • Collect and compile electronic engine data reports.
  • Assist Service Engineers with troubleshooting and repairs as requested by Area Manager.
  • Manage ‘Vehicle stock’, advising when parts need to be ordered.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a tidy site, undertaking cleaning duties as required.
  • Follow and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and regulations at all times.

Skills/Requirements

  • Understanding of basic engine fundamentals and/or basic electrical fundamentals, DC and AC electricity.
  • Working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Good IT skills.
  • This remote role requires someone to live in the general area of Kalamazoo, MI.

Essential

  • Reasonable IT skills.
  • Aptitude for electro-mechanical systems.
  • Willing to travel extensively and work away from home up to 80% of the year Monday – Friday.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends when required.

Desirable

  • Gas engine mechanical and/or electrical knowledge / experience.
  • Gas/Diesel engine powered generator training or equivalent technical education.

The hourly range for this position is $20-$30 .The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
