Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute mid to long-term procurement strategies in collaboration with manufacturing organizations, federal agencies, and internal teams.
- Lead and inspire a talented team of supply chain professionals located both onshore and offshore.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to navigate the procurement implications of legislative and regulatory changes to drive business growth.
- Create and implement long-term global sourcing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with on and offshore OEM suppliers to ensure maximum value and reliability.
- Stay informed about industry developments, emerging market trends, and innovations, integrating relevant technologies into procurement strategies.
- Identify and address physical and political risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor risks, to maintain smooth operations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with global solar and storage suppliers to meet growth objectives.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of leadership experience in supply chain and/or procurement, with at least 10 years in a strategic role within the solar or storage sector.
- Proven success in building and maintaining international relationships in the solar and storage procurement industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, manufacturing capabilities, regulatory requirements, and global supply and demand dynamics.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global audiences, including C-Suite executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Economics, Engineering, or Global Supply Chain Management; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Environment
- Domestic and international travel required, up to 25%.
