Job Description

Summary:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical management of multiple utility scale Solar, Wind, Storage and emerging technology projects, acting at the main point of contact for all logistics activities. This role will manage the transportation logistics for both international and domestic shipments of all components and equipment, serving as the logistics operations expert for North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee logistics for projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality transportation of materials both domestically and internationally.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with vendors, subcontractors, and the project team, resolving any logistics issues that arise.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new partners and train subcontractors in logistics processes.
  • Track shipments, manage inventory, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Monitor material delivery schedules, identify potential issues, and solve any logistics or on-site problems that may arise
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Project Managers, and Superintendents to ensure proper staffing and site preparation for material handling.
  • Supervise importation, transloading, and offloading of large components, addressing non-conformities and leading process improvements.
  • Ensure invoice accuracy, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, and manage urgent shipments and high-risk scenarios..

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in international logistics managing heavy haul construction projects in the energy sector
