We are looking for a driven Sales Leader to join our team and take charge of developing strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in our East Business Unit. This role requires a proven leader who can effectively communicate across all levels of an organization, with a deep understanding of the energy industry.
Job Description: As the Sales Leader, you will be responsible for the overall sales strategy and performance of the East Business Unit. You will lead and manage a team of Account Executives, ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to secure new business, develop growth plans, and ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded across various energy sectors, including MUSH (Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals), C&I (Commercial & Industrial), Performance Contracting, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed the sales goals of the East Business Unit in partnership with the Business Unit Manager.
- Provide direct leadership, management, and coaching to the sales team, ensuring that individual performance is actively managed.
- Develop and execute a staffing plan to hire and retain top talent for the sales team.
- Coordinate resources to maintain stable sales results, including lead generation and pipeline development.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager and Marketing team to manage budgets for marketing collateral, outreach programs, and trade shows.
- Work with other Business Unit sales teams to align strategies and share best practices.
- Partner with finance, operations, engineering, and marketing teams to secure new business and influence overall strategy.
- Develop and own market growth plans, including targeting vertical markets, expanding into new territories, and formulating horizontal offering strategies.
- Understand regional market competitors to position our unique approach and offerings effectively.
- Assist sales team members in building relationships with top decision-makers.
- Negotiate comprehensive energy projects with clients, leading customer meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations as needed.
- Foster strong customer relationships and work with Account Executives to ensure accurate data management in CRM software.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, particularly within HVAC controls, mechanical contracting, energy services, or related industries.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong decision-making skills with a track record of producing results through strategic planning and execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience managing people or teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000, plus commission and benefits. The actual pay will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and education.
