Project Manager, Battery Storage

About the Job:

This Project Manager (Battery Storage) will oversee the development, implementation, and management of battery storage solutions (BESS). This role requires a deep understanding of battery energy storage systems including the design, configuration, optimization, and construction. The ideal candidate will manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet all operational, budgetary, and technical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of battery storage projects.
• Participate in the conceptual development and estimating of the project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and cost-effective project components.
• Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including schematics, work orders, and safety protocols.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of technical, administrative, and management aspects of BESS project phases
• Knowledge of public and construction safety and security issues and regulations
• Excellent mathematical skills, including application and problem-solving
• Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and job specifications for civil and electrical work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of project management experience in battery storage projects
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience
• Strong technical understanding of battery storage technologies
