Job Description

AD Energy are working with a leading Renewable Energy business, who are looking to add a senior executive to their expanding team.

The business are global leaders in Solar Energy, with a strong brand in the residential and utility segments. Is is vital you have experience in the solar and / or ESS market.

This position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join the team in the North American region and have a major part in leading the company’s sales efforts in all segments of the solar industry, residential, commercial and utility, through direct and channel sales. You will also have ultimate responsibility for Marketing, Technical and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close sales opportunities in accordance with the company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives for the region. Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels, strategic accounts and PPA / solar investors. Lead large, expanding and dynamic teams to pursue direct sales leads with installers, distributors, investors and utility companies.
  • Lead and execute the forecast of revenue on a regular basis and review sales results to ensure that established targets are being met; take corrective action where required.
  • Be comfortable running a business that is growing rapidly and navigate the ever changing competitive landscape
  • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the different regional markets by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends
  • Work locally with existing and new technology partners to bring and assist in closing high value M&A opportunities
  • Provide strategic leadership regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the regional markets
  • Liaise with the global executive management team and peers to ensure that sales targets are being defined and met and we hiring and retaining the very best talent in the industry.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in international sales within a Clean Energy sector
  • Experience in managing regional sales teams in the USA, delivering significant YoY growth
  • Previous experience in the PV and/or ESS industry will be a significant advantage, though we are also open to considering candidates from the EVC and Hvac segments
  • Solid and verifiable track record of overachievement – candidates should have a verifiable record of successfully growing market share, ideally leading sales teams that have generated in high growth.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the product line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms.
  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals/accounts with a team of sales leaders
  • Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working for an international organization
