About the Job

The Product Manager is responsible for becoming an expert in our current solar module products as well as our product roadmap in order to support our sales team and their customers. This person will work closely with our product development and sales teams to understand customer needs, module product roadmap, and overall product performance. Additional duties include obtaining product certifications. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing the product lifecycle of solar products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Stay up-to-date with current company module products and our next generation of products.
  • Regularly provide updates to our sales team in order to keep them abreast of any technological improvements.
  • Work closely with our internal product development teams to understand our current and future product plans, provide feedback from our sales team, and help define future product needs.
  • Investigate and collect regional market dynamics, customer & market needs, including regional segment analysis, customer distribution, trends and Long-term and short-term demand trends of products.
  • Meet with potential clients to talk through our product platform.
  • Support our sales team and customers by answering questions regarding our products and tracking down documentation as needed.
  • Conduct regular regional competitor analysis, including competitor identification, competitor product strategy, competitive information analysis of competitors’ sales scale, price and product performance advantages in the region.
  • Insight into innovation or improve potential opportunities for products.

Your Qualifications

  • BA in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in solar product expertise, ideally with a module manufacturer.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting the launch of new products.
  • Ability to work cross-collaboratively with engineering, sales, and manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and relay engineering terminology.
  • Enthusiasm for the Renewable Energy industry.

Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. The expected compensation range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. Additional discretionary incentive may be available. Full-time employees are eligible for PTO, medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms.
