A Little Bit About The Projects
Vineyard Offshore brings industry-leading experience to the emerging US-based offshore wind market. Owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, half of the joint venture behind the Vineyard Wind 1 project, Vineyard Offshore is focused on developing projects that will deliver clean, renewable, and cost-effective offshore wind power around North America. In addition to Vineyard Wind 1, Vineyard Offshore currently owns three additional US lease areas that together can generate at least 3.5 gigawatts of offshore wind energy to power a minimum of two million homes along the Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic and Northern California coasts.

What You’ll Do
- Lead Vineyard Wind’s educational programs including our K -12 classroom-based programs, education exhibit, field trip, and outreach programs
- Help manage, schedule, and coordinate education programs, lead clear communication between Vineyard Wind, Bristol Community College, and local schools and organizations
- The OSW Education Associate will oversee the opening, closing, and operational aspects of the Vineyard Wind Exhibit. This will include welcoming visitors, creating an inclusive environment for all, answering questions, and helping guests discover and explore offshore wind
- Help visitors connect and learn more about the Vineyard wind project, local community investments, environmental research and scientific contributions, offshore wind energy, as well as BCC’s resources and next steps
- Research and develop innovative and strategic education programs, activities, sponsorships, and resources to support public awareness of offshore wind energy and the Vineyard Wind project
- Develop and maintain connections with local, state, and regional educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other relevant groups.
- Help manage, lead, support, local sponsorships working to build partnerships throughout the region and create opportunities to best engage local community organizations and members
- Help manage, oversee, and mentor high school education intern by modeling desired behavior, observing their work, and providing timely feedback
What You’ll Bring
- A junior/senior at a local university with a strong interest in clean energy
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in teaching, public speaking, and program development
- Skilled in research & analysis, problem solving and critical thinking
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
