Job Description

Edged has an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Senior Manager. In this position you will work directly with the Director of Operations and be responsible for the quality management program as well as development, implementing and enforcement of procedures. The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible to develop and operate the company’s internal control systems through implementation of effective control measures and effective risk management strategies to safeguard our operations, assets, and compliance with regulations. The candidate must have experience in Quality and Environmental Management systems, is highly motivated and result driven.

The Quality and Compliance Manager needs to be an agile, team-focused individual, with proven professionalism, who is comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, can think strategically, and works equally as well independently as with a team. Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Quality Management System is being followed.
  • Work in conjunction with Operations Team to ensure that all Quality & Environment procedures are being performed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all personnel are trained to perform their respective job functions.
  • Participate in the establishment of quality specifications.
  • Define, roll-out and maintain frameworks to support and enhance the Compliance strategy within Operations.
  • Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
  • Responsible for all activities associated with external audits.
  • Manage customer complaint and reject process to ensure accurate root cause analysis, timely response, and determination and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor site quality metrics and develop counter measures as needed.
  • Keep abreast of changes in corporate polices, communication of changes, and ensure necessary adjustments are made to maintain compliance.
  • Participate in the development of risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize identified risks, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills & Requirements

Education / Experience

  • Bachelors Degree Preferable
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Management or Supervisory experience
  • Green Belt or Black belt certified would be a plus
  • Prior audit experience and knowledge of ISO 9001, 14000, 14064, 20000, 27000, 45000, 22301, 50001, PCI-DSS, SOC is a Plus
  • Experience to audit ISO 45000 or OSHAS 18000 is a plus
  • Experience managing QMS or Quality Programs
  • Demonstrated understanding of fact-based decision-making and analytical processes related to quality management and process improvement.

  • Special skill in anticipating and preventing problems is required
  • Able to design and implement control procedures for critical processes
  • Critical thinker.
  • Excellent judgment and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Able to grasp ambiguous problems and organize them into a structured plan.
  • Ability to initiate, lead and follow a project to completion.
  • Knowledge on product and process costing and calculating cost savings.
  • Computer, written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to support working with people at various levels.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of quality sciences and quality systems.
  • Drive a culture of process improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.
  • Drive standardization practices and ensure strict compliance in internal and client defined processes.
