Key responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and generate leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, trade shows, online platforms, and referrals. Engage with potential clients to understand their energy storage needs and provide tailored solutions.
2. Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to target and acquire new C&I/residential energy storage projects. Collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with client requirements and market demand.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their long-term goals and providing ongoing support. Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and tender responses for C&I/residential energy storage projects. Customize project specifications, pricing models, and financial analysis to meet client requirements and maximize project profitability.
5. Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
6. Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution. To ensure successful implementation, provide input and guidance on technical aspects, feasibility, and project timelines.
7. Industry Networking: Build a strong professional network within the C&I/residential energy storage industry by attending relevant conferences, seminars, and industry events. Actively participate in industry associations and initiatives to stay updated on industry trends and foster partnerships.
8. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market developments, policy changes, and emerging technologies related to C&I/residential energy storage. Continuously assess market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and adjust business strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
1. A degree in engineering, project management, or a related field and some background in energy storage project development.
2. At least 3 years of experience in project development manager roles related to energy storage or renewable energy.
3. Candidates should have proven experience in supporting complex, multi-phase projects and should be knowledgeable in technical aspects of C&I/residential energy storage
4. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are also necessary for this role.
