Job Description

Do you have experience with Building Energy Efficiency or Energy Incentive Programs? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring an Energy Specialist in the HEEHRA Rebates Unit of the Federal Incentives and Financing Branch in the Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives Division (RREDI).

Our Energy Specialist will perform complex building decarbonization-related work which requires a high level of knowledge and skills in the field of single-family and multifamily residential building decarbonization and energy efficiency.

The California Energy Commission’s Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives Division (RREDI) develops and administers the state’s renewable energy, grid reliability, and building decarbonization incentive programs, which are helping California achieve its 100 percent clean energy goal and combating climate change.

** Telework option is available, but hired candidate must reside in California before starting

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Program management and development.
  • Ability to analyze data and technical documents.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate others.
