Site Management And Support

  • Efficiently direct subcontractors and vendors to ensure the quality installation of solar ground mount systems, including electrical racking modules.
  • Ensure all aspects of projects are safely built to specification, meeting codes and industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain a healthy relationship with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Manage project schedules and submit progress logs and reports to ensure timely, safe, and code-compliant installations.
  • Monitor and address site safety while proactively resolving problems.

Project Coordination

  • Organize and coordinate the installation teams, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to project schedules and specifications.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and support to a team of 50-100 employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards during the installation process, ensuring that all work, including electrical racking modules, meets or exceeds industry and manufacturer requirements.

Troubleshooting And Issue Resolution

  • Identify and resolve any installation issues or challenges related to electrical racking modules that arise during the project, collaborating with team members and other stakeholders to find effective solutions.
  • Work with site management and clients to ensure any issues are addressed promptly.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Read manufacturer-supplied drawings for installation details, including electrical racking modules.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities daily, including site crew assessments, work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered, and report as required by management.
  • Provide weekly status updates of projects to upper management including but not limited to; construction update, schedule updates, financial trending, client communication, and subcontractor coordination.

Training And Development

  • Provide training and mentorship to installation team members, promoting continuous learning and development of technical skills, particularly in the context of electrical racking modules.
  • Provide clear and precise direction to Project Engineers on daily tasks/expectations.

EPC Experience

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) processes, particularly in utility-scale solar projects.
  • Apply EPC knowledge to project planning, budgeting, buyout, project controls/reporting, scheduling, risk management, etc.

Requirements

  • Two years or more of experience in solar mechanical installation in a leadership or supervisory role, including experience with electrical racking modules and EPC projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating a team.
  • OSHA 30 or greater certification, with comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to solar installations.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve installation issues related to electrical racking modules effectively, making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and prioritize installation projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of installations, including electrical racking modules.
  • Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks as required in the installation process, including handling electrical racking modules.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
