Job Description

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to stand at the forefront of combating climate change and increasing the adoption of clean energy technologies. Reporting to the Supervisor – Regulatory, Planning, and Evaluation, you will facilitate activities that fulfill regulatory and reporting requirements for several of Eversource’s initiatives. You will develop communications for both internal and external stakeholders, while staying current on program performance, energy policy, and the clean energy landscape. Experience with managing projects and deliverables and meeting deadlines is critical, and familiarity with the utility regulatory environment and/or energy landscape is a plus. You will leverage Eversource subject matter experts’ experience and partnerships to develop accurate filings and responses in adherence to deadlines, inform and educate internal and external stakeholders, and produce collaborative outcomes that simultaneously benefit our customers and achieve state energy policy objectives.

This is a hybrid role.

Essential Functions:

Project Management (60%)

  • Assist with generation and review of materials for regulatory filings for energy efficiency programs and other Eversource initiatives, such as electric vehicle and active demand response programs.
  • Oversee processes for filing deadlines, including ongoing reporting, interrogatory requests, audits, and emergent requirements.
  • Collaborate with Eversource subject matter experts within the Energy Efficiency department, across other departments, and, as applicable, in collaboration with other utilities to develop and provide timely responses to state agency and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Help ensure alignment in regulatory filings across the Company’s service territory.

Stakeholder Engagement, Outreach, and Partnerships (30%)

  • Represent Eversource by organizing, where applicable, and participating in relevant internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Continue to develop and build upon Eversource’s relationships and partnerships with external entities.

Research and Analysis (10%)

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to develop responses and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments within state and federal energy policies and the energy efficiency and clean energy landscape.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

  • Well organized, objective oriented, and demonstrates ability to prioritize and drive outcomes to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort in presenting to various types of audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts for a non-technical audience. 
  • Familiarity with the utility regulatory environment and processes preferred. 

Education:   

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, political science, sustainable energy, or related discipline. 

Experience:   

  • Three (3) plus years’ experience of relevant, full-time work experience in project management, a regulated business environment, working on utility issues related to clean energy deployment, or policy analysis.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $102,000 – $113,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
