We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

Job Summary: The EHS Claims Clerk position will support the production team in the areas of claim management, processing, reporting, document control, and visual aids throughout the claim process. It requires an individual with good interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume production environment.

Essential Duties

  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the PECNA organization.
  • Provide administrative support to EHS Staff members.
  • Provide injury/illness reporting support to Claim Manager.
  • Coordinate and support medical clinic staff as needed.
  • Maintain training documents within the EHS document control library and databases.
  • Maintain EHS recordkeeping and provide relevant information to production staff.
  • Provide logistical support to EHS staff with respect to injuries and incidents. For example, assist with transporting PECNA employees to medical services. Assist and maintain taxi voucher program documents. Update and coordinate with supervision of injured workers.
  • Maintain inventory for EHS office supplies and PPE items.
  • Schedule and support meeting arrangements, if needed.
  • Maintain department SOP’s and Quality documents.
  • Experience with ISO document procedures.
  • Maintains EHS supply and PPE inventory.
  • Partners with other department production clerks to help maintain and support EHS programs and policies.
  • Completes and updates EHS charts and metrics as necessary.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employee’s, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements – Required and/or Preferred

Education

  • Basic/Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree in business, or related work experience, or a combination of education and experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in document control and detail-oriented Minimum two years of experience in workers compensation claim management.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)

Preferred License(s)

  • None

Preferred Certification(s)

  • AIC, CRISS, INS or other insurance designations are desired.
