Overview Our client, a leading consulting engineering firm renowned for pioneering net zero energy buildings, is looking to expand their team in the Fairfax area by hiring a Mechanical Engineer.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated responses.
  • Design mechanical system layouts using AutoCAD and/or REVIT software.
  • Conduct building system audits, energy analyses, and savings calculations.
  • Attend jobsite meetings as required.
  • Identify and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • EIT, PE, or CEM certification is a plus.
  • Over 3 years of experience in MEP or with an Energy Services company.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software.
