Salary range: $80,000-$95,000

Days: 261 days, hours are fluctating hours from business to non-business hours.

Position Summary

Facilities Operations Manager (FOM) will oversee and lead district Facilities programs and initiatives consistent with state requirements and Lakeville Area Schools purpose and strategies. This role will be responsible for planning, communicating and leading assigned projects, systems and initiatives for the facilities department as directed by the Facilities Manager. The manager will oversee, track the department’s incident IQ ticketing to determine priorities and follow up around all incoming ticketing requests including Custodial, Grounds, Health and safety and general Facilities requests. FOM will manage and maintain the purchase order database for the department and is responsible for identifying trends, monitoring for budget impact and providing timely request approvals. This position will work directly with FPP Managers and leadership, school administration, and all district employees to deliver positive and effective facilities team results and district-wide communication. The position will require non-business hours support, participation in on-call and emergency response support teams, fluctuating hours and up to 50% of time in the field working directly within schools on projects and follow up with department initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:

  • Coordinates all aspects of assigned projects by working independently with district staff to determine project scope and goals.
  • Manages and tracks the Facilities’ purchase order system.
  • Coordinates with Custodial Supervisor in managing the personnel issues of the local SEIU 284.
  • Processes leave requests for the custodial staff in the Custodial Services Supervisor absence.
  • Administrator of Incident IQ system for Facilities dept. Develops users, rules and standard operations of the IQ system. Monitors, prioritizes and assigns work tickets throughout facilities including: Health and Safety, Security, Maintenance and Custodial.
  • Communicates directly with department teams and leaders around outstanding issues, request trends and emergencies.
  • Oversight of district utility information including data collection, organization and analysis. Provides appropriate response to data inquiries and requests.
  • Directs and communicates solar power installation, initiatives, data and follow up.
  • Responds to after hours emergencies through the facilities call-list notifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Specific training or job experience required before appointment):

  • A.A. Degree
  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory or lead role
  • 3+ years experience in a custodial or facility maintenance position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in facility management or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in Facilities within education
  • Knowledge of Incident IQ as well as Efinance systems.
