Summary:

The Facilities Controls Engineer II is an experienced individual who will support the facilities engineering team. They are responsible for supporting management and implementation of existing and new building controls by utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. This role will also focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air Compressor, Utilities). The job requires constant interaction with department engineering and maintenance teams along with external customers and contractors

Responsibilities:

• Manage BMS (Building Management System) specification, design, and operation

• Develop and implement strategy to complete BMS installation

• Collaborate with other Facilities associates to standardize a unified approach

• Support training of other engineers with shared responsibilities

• Determine and prioritize project tasks and develop project schedule and timelines to achieve project”s final goals on time and within budget

• Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems

• Communicate critical updates to site system operators

• Support training of Facility associates on enhancements to operations related to controls and mechanical/electrical systems

• Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems to assure that building electrical systems meet capacity and reliability requirements of the customer

• Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities.

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors

• Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to support replacement of facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)

• Lead and/or support in the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the design and construction phase of a project

• Review, verify and approve engineering/design drawings at the various design completion levels

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or Equivalent related controls experience

• 3 to 7+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred

Knowledge/skills:

• Knowledge of: National Electrical Code (NFPA 70); Electrical power distribution components and systems

• Proficiency in networking protocols and communication between devices

• Proficiency in PLC Programing

• Configuring Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for motor control

• Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)

• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement systems

• Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Positive attitude, open minded, and team player

• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

• Proficient with Auto CAD and Revit systems

• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations

• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary

• Korean language proficiency a plus

• This role could require up to 10% of travel (domestic or international)
