Position Specific Description

This job supports multiple projects across all US based regions by providing guidance and direction to all project schedulers while taking a lead role and performing scheduling functions directly as necessary for assigned projects. This role will oversee all project scheduling activities, to ensure the contract schedule requirements are met and enforced. The Scheduling Manager will work hand in hand with the pre-construction and construction department leads to ensure consistency across all project phases and regions.

Job Overview:

Employee in this role will manage all project schedulers and act as the head scheduler for Distributed Generation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to project schedulers to assign project responsibilities and provide guidance to ensure continuity across all projects.
  • Provide scheduling support directly for all projects as required.
  • Attend project scheduling review meetings for assigned projects and ensure process consistency among all schedulers and teams
  • Works collaboratively with resources to determine project priorities and work plans to meet corporate objectives.
  • Determines necessary procedure and process requirements and coordinates development and implementation for scheduling group.
  • Own schedule templates internally
  • Understand all project controls and contractual requirements and note any scheduling deficiencies to the project manager.
  • Prepare and submit updated schedules, reports, etc. internally / externally for review and updating as required. Provide executive level analysis and reports as required.
  • Provide scheduling analysis to identify any baseline contractual deficiency and escalate as required. Assist in recovery planning and documentation of schedule deviations as applicable.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert in Primavera and Microsoft Projects tools
  • Direct project experience in the renewable industry, specifically solar
  • Previous project management or field experience useful in understanding full project lifecycles, contractual requirements, and common scheduling conflicts that may arise during implementation.

This job supports one or more projects by providing comprehensive financial support and implementation of project management controls. Employees in this role administer budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis, business process improvement and month end project settlement activities. Employees in this role oversee all project scheduling activities on assigned construction projects, to ensure the contracts schedule requirements are met.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate accounting treatment and capital postings for capital reporting, variance explanations, and progress reporting against budgets
  • Prepares, issues, and presents reports, corrective action plans and mitigation strategies based on critical path analysis
  • Reads and understands all major project contracts and ensures that all contract details are incorporated into the project forecast and cash flows
  • Prepares executive-level reports and ensures write-ups are accurate, complete, clear, and concise
  • Provides scheduling support for all projects in early stage development
  • Works collaboratively with resources to determine project priorities and work plans to meet corporate objectives
  • Determines necessary procedure and process requirements and coordinates development and implementation for scheduling group
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
